teaching is a passion
IT IS THE SUPREME ART TO AWAKEN JOY IN CREATIVE EXPRESSION AND KNOWLEDGE
Over the past 10 years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to instruct at many different schools to art students, young and old. As a result, I have developed great expertise in making creative lessons and have developed highly effective teaching techniques and instructional methods, which have allowed me to educate all styles of learners, and foster a fun and engaging learning environment that effectively teaches art appreciation, promotes creativity and experiment, and encourages growing independence.
caring is a passion
MAKE A DIFFERENCE,NOT JUST A LIVING
I think it is very important for a teacher to provide a caring and supportive environment for the children. As an Art Teacher I certainly have the opportunity to get to know the children well and bond with them. My main goal in the beginning of the school year is getting to know the children, not only to be able to make art lessons according their interests and responding to their unique needs, but because showing a genuine interest in the students by being approachable and sympathetic, is very important for their social and emotional well-being. In my current schools, my pupils know I am always present and available for a talk.
Art is a passion
ART IS NOT WHAT YOU SEE,
BUT WHAT YOU MAKE OTHERS SEE
Since young age I always wanted to develop my artistic skills. Music, Art, Drama and Dance have always been a big part of my life. This has resulted in a broad knowledge that I’m happy to share with the students.
My biggest passion and specialty is Art. I know of the most techniques and contemporary trends. I have a Master of Fine arts in printmaking and photography. But I have to point out that I have a vast knowledge of all areas of Art and Design. I did a 2 year University College course Interior Design, where I learned CAD drawing, Sketch Up, Rendering and Photoshop among other things. I followed evening courses Fashion (creative sewing) for over 3 years and I love to make stop motion animations and graphic designs. Although I am not familiar with Illustrator and Indesign, they are certainly on my "wish-to-learn-list". I think this shows how important it is to me to keep up to date and that I aspire to be a life long student. By participating in professional development, I am consistently reflecting on my practice and pedagogy.
